お題は初めてのオーストラリアのロードトリップで
おすすめしたい場所ベスト3についてです。
Introduction
In July last year, I took a road trip from Noosa Heads to Darwin in my X-trail Nissan by myself.
There were a lot of areas that I stayed at during the road trip. I will try to describe some areas that had an especially strong impression on me.
My Best 3 areas
Noosa Heads
I wanted to stay in Noosa Heads before starting my road trip, because my friend who I met when I worked on a strawberry farm recommended it to me.
There were a lot of surfers and a lot of fashionable cafes. Also, there were a lot of beautiful beaches. This place made me feel excited before my road trip. I’m glad I could visit Noosa Heads.
Yeppoon
I stayed here for around 3 weeks because I had to fix my car. When I went to Capricorn Caves, my car started making strange sounds, so I took my car to a car repair shop. The mechanic said he needed two weeks to fix my car. I was stuck there for 2 weeks.
Anyway, there were really beautiful beaches, restaurants, and people. The backpacker hostel that I stayed at was beautiful, but a little bit expensive. I fortunately negotiated a little bit of a discount because I stayed there a long time.
Also I went to Great Keppel island with a beautiful old couple who I met at the backpacker hostel. It was a beautiful and peaceful place. I went to Toowoomba to meet them after this road trip.
Yungaburra
This is a small town where you can see platypus. There was a beautiful Italian restaurant, cafes, and a backpacker. The people were really kind and friendly. When I went to the Italian restaurant, the staff and owner were all kind. I couldn’t understand the menu well even though I tried to read it because I was so tired to drive. So I just told them what I wanted to eat and they made a beautiful pasta for me.
Last
I also visited many other areas. However, something happened on the way to Darwin.
The day before, I had asked the staff for a room at Barkly Homestead, but there was no vacancy. They only had a campsite. So I had no choice to sleep in my car at the campsite.
Then, while I was driving to Darwin, I misjudged the steering and swung too far to the right and crashed my car into a wall. It was a single vehicle accident. The car was scrapped in this accident. Fortunately, no one was injured and only my car was a write off.
When I had the accident, many people who noticed helped me. I managed to have my car towed to Pine Creek.
As a result, I didn’t have a car anymore, so the road trip ended at Pine Creek.
Many people had helped me during this road trip and I realized the kindness of people.
Pine Creek was an unforgettable city with lots of memories. Also, if I have the opportunity to make another road trip in Australia, I would like to start my journey from Pine Creek.
